The NESTLE 3D nodal core simulator: Modern reactor models
Original language description
NESTLE is a nodal diffusion core simulator code capable of performing eigenvalue, adjoint, fixed source, steady-state and transient problems. At the University of Tennessee, new features and models have been under development in preparation for a release of a new version of the code. These core models include pressurized water reactors (PWR), boiling water reactors (BWR), a small modular reactor (SMR), a hexagonal pitch fluoride cooled high temperature reactor (FHR), and a hexagonal pitched VVER core. Comparison of these model results with benchmarks and other codes, including SCALE and SERPENT, are presented.
