Original language description
Contrast agent (CA) enhanced magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) of myocardial perfusion can provide a non-invasive early indication of a coronary circulation disease. Searching for areas of a lower than normal blood flow in the myocardium can lead to the detection of beginning microvascular disease. The microvascular disease consist in a decrease of the blood diffusion (perfusion) through vessel walls into the extracellular space of the myocardial tissue.
