Original language description
Laser operation of a modified-Bridgeman-grown Ho:CaF2 crystal at 83 K pumped by a Tm:fiber laser is reported. The laser generated in the pulsed or continuous-wave regime. The maximum output power was 2.37 W at 2060 nm or 1.3 W at 2113 nm (the output wavelength was varied by output coupler reflectivity). Continuous tuning range from 2033 to 2057 nm and further around 2095 nm was achieved using a birefringent filter.
