Laser diode-pumped, passively V:YAG Q-switched, 1568-nm self-Raman Nd:SrMoO4 laser generating at 4F3/2–>4I13/2 transition is demonstrated for the first time to our knowledge. The 3 ns pulses with the energy of 1 μJ were generated at the repetition rate of 30 kHz.
