Ruling Principles for Decision-Based Pedestrian Model

  • Original language description

In pedestrian dynamics research, enhancing the quality of models and data analysis is the principal goal. The global aim of this research is to show how the individual analysis of data from egress experiments can improve the pedestrian model. Improved rules at all decision-making levels make the model more realistic from a microscopic perspective, thus its predictive power increases. This contribution presents the beginning of the whole process, our microscopic decision-based model in continuous both time and space is introduced. The model rules determining the pedestrian movement in a very individual way are implemented and their impact on the model output is shown in a calibration case study.
