    Four new 9,10-diphenylanthracene derivatives were synthesized to study the effect of molecular geometry on the triplet fusion process. The differences in triplet fusion up-conversion efficiency and the effect of magnetic field, which were observed, are discussed in terms of the statistical probability for obtaining a high-energy singlet excited state from triplet fusion for both inter- and intramolecular processes.
