Comparison of Spectroscopic and Laser Properties of Cr2+,Fe2+:Zn1-xMnxSe (x ~ 0.2 and x ~ 0.4) Single Crystals Under Er:YLF Laser Excitation at ~1.73 µm
Original language description
We report the Cr2+ -> Fe2+ ions energy transfer under ~1.73 μm excitation of the Cr2+,Fe2+:Zn1-xMnxSe (x ~ 0.2) single crystal for the first time and the results were compared with the crystal containing ~2x higher manganese amount (x ~ 0.4) in the host material. Mid-infrared laser generation from Cr2+ ions at ~2.3 μm and ~2.5 μm, and from Fe2+ ions at ~4.4 μm and ~4.75 μm of the x ~ 0.2 and x ~ 0.4 samples, respectively, is presented.
