Temperature dependencies of Ho:YAP spectroscopic (4 - 300 K) properties were investigated and three Ho:YAP crystals ("a"-, "b"-, and "c"-cut) were tested as an active medium of cryogenically-cooled multiwatt microchip laser operating at 2.1 μm spectral region.
