    Effects of nanoparticle parameters on electron injection in NA-LWFA

  • Original language description

    In LWFA experiments, it is necessary to provide guiding of the driving laser pulse to reach electrons with energies over 10 GeV. These guiding structures has already been successfully demonstrated however, to achieve stable electron injection hence, stable electron beams, it is necessary to employ advanced injection schemes. A very promising method is using ionized nanoparticles to trigger the injection process even in low density plasmas as well as to control the beam parameters by using different nanoparticle materials and sizes. This contribution aims to explore these possibilities using PIC simulations and discusses its subsequent implementation in experiments at ELI Beamlines.
