The title of this year implies particularly important themes: (1) Disparities - as an essential threat to spatial, social and economic cohesion, to be dealt with at EU-wide,national, regional as well as local territorial level. (2) Polycentricity - as an EU-wide concept that should contribute to sustainable spatial pattern, again on all territorial levels.
