    European post-communist countries had to deal with new challenges of landscape development, transitions or degradation. Spatial landscape structure expresses the combination of physical, functional and socio economic components that are changing composition and arrangement over time. While the principles of human society quickly adapted, spatial structures are developing inertial. All questions must be answered by multidisciplinary, progressive sustainable and innovative design strategies with the support of applied research and theoretical studies. We invite all PhD and Master students interested in presenting their ongoing research and results in fields related to the topic and address issues related to recent history, the present and future of urban, periurban and rural landscapes in post-communist European countries. Emphasis will be placed on international and interdisciplinary dialogue from academic and professional perspectives of post communist landscape transformations includi
