The Return to the City towards the End of the Normalisation Period
Original language description
The article examines a number of changes in the ethos related to the city - both existing buildinig stock and newly proposed developments - in the 1970s and 1980s. In particular, it traces the (post-modern) influence on heritage conservation and revitalization processes in historic city centers and in the suburban tenement neighborhoods of the late 19th century and the first half of the 20th century; the theme of filling vacant lots in cities; and considerations of the humanization of prefabricated buildings and the public space of housing estates.
