    Intracranial recording of extracellular single-unit activity can be useful for diagnostics of the brain tissue after a craniotrauma. The measurement and evaluation of the local single-unit potential can provide information about an instantaneous neurophysiologic state of the brain tissue and its possible damage. The results of single-unit potential might lead to the prediction of brain tissue recovery level. The aim of the study is to design and conduct an experiment for single-unit potential recordingin rats in order to find criteria for estimation of reversibility or irreversibility of the brain tissue damage.
