Cr-DLC films deposited by dual pulsed laser ablation
Original language description
Diamond-like carbon (DLC) and Cr doped diamond-like carbon (Cr-DLC) layers were studied for potential medical applications. DLC and Cr-DLC were deposited on silicon and titanium substrate by dual pulsed laser ablation using two KrF excimer lasers and twotargets (graphite and chromium). The topology of layers was studied using scanning electron microscopy (SEM). The composition was analyzed using wavelength-dependent X-ray spectroscopy (WDS). Ethylene glycol, diodomethane and deionized water were used to measure their contact angles, which were used to evaluate the surface free energy.
