Tribological properties of contact lenses
Original language description
This article deals with the measurement of tribological properties of contact lenses, especially a friction coefficient and a contact angle. The measurements are performed on various types of contact lens – hydrogel and silicone-hydrogel. It provides information about the methodology of work with contact lenses, tribometer and experimental part of the measurement of the friction coefficient and the contact angle. It was found that the friction coefficient decreased with increasing normal load and the increase in the friction coefficient with the sliding speed.
