Modification of implant surface properties by thin layer
Original language description
The goal of this thesis was to create a program that would help determine the suitability of a thin layer for cell adhesion and proliferation using topology and surface energy measurements. To calculate the free surface energy, it was necessary to create a code in Matlab, in which the method of least squares and the OWRK method of calculating the surface energy were used. The surface roughness was tested depending on the contact angle. Suitability for cell adhesion and proliferation cannot be accurately predicted from the values of the mentioned physical parameters (free surface energy, roughness). Cell- surface interaction depends on multiple parameters and that’s why we need more research.
