Communication Strategy of Terrorism at Major Sporting Events
Original language description
The main objective of this paper is to evaluate terrorism at sporting events as an ecosystem with various elements and interactions. Research focuses on terrorist attacks at major sporting events since the 1972 Olympics, analyzing terrorists' communication strategies. Researchers propose a model that includes elements common to terrorist events, such as the transmitter, target, and modus operandi. Developed model can further serve as a basis for developing new theories or refining existing theories associated with predicting, preventing, or explaining terrorist attacks on athletic events.
