Efficacy of Defocus Incoporated Multiple Segment lenses in a young Czech Population

  • Original language description

Myopia is a refractive error that will threaten up to half of the world’s population by 2050. Myopia has not only an impact on the quality of life of the myopic client (higher risks of eye pathologies), but also socio-economic impacts. The fundamental necessity of a solution is evidenced by the interest in this topic by the WHO (World Health Organization), when in 2019 it publishes the first report on vision (World report on vision). The world’s eye experts are currently dealing with these topics and are trying to control myopia and slow down this increase.
