Reliability of Composites According to Eurocodes
Original language description
Development of the operational European standards for the design of structures, so called Eurocodes, is in a reaching decisive point. During a few next years, the whole Europe should design structures using harmonised prescriptive documents. The originalintention of the European Committee for Standardisation CEN that the design differs in individual countries by only numerical values of some parameters, such as partial factors and characteristic values of the climatic actions, was not fulfilled. The last documents show that the forecasted high level of harmonisation was not reached and that the national authorities will be free to choose not only the numerical values of the various reliability elements, but also alternative design procedure includingload combination.
