Original language description
Many failures of ceramic-concrete floor structures have occurred in the Czech republic recently. There failures are realated to some type of fired clay units. Number of long-term experiments simulating the real floor structures have been carried out. Itwas shown that the failures are due to volume changes, i.e., the irreversible expansion of fired clay units and the schrinkage of concrete.

Czech description
V poslení době došlo v České republice k několika haváriím keramicko-betonových stropních konstrukcí. Tyto havárie se týkají keramických desek Hurdis. Bylo realizováno několik dlouhodobých zkoušek simulujících skutečné chování konstrukcí. Bylo ukázáno, že důvodem poruch jsou objemové změny materiálů, tj. nevratná vlhkostní roztažnost keramiky a smršťování betonu.
