Reliability Analysis for Structural Design
Original language description
The book covers both the theoretical bases and practical tools for professional engineers. It is based on newest developments and solutions, on extensive knowledge of the Author and on his original achievements. The theory of structural reliability as atool for design and standardization is now universally accepted. The book is sufficiently comprehensive by containing all the main elements of structural reliability, including: (i) the basic probability concepts and models (ii) the principles of structural reliability (iii) its application in partial factor based design (iv) a brief introduction of the closely related topics of systems reliability and risk assessment procedures. The set of ten Annexes contains detailed description of models, methods and programs. This will be particularly useful for all who wish to develop their knowledge and capabilities in application of the reliability based methods in structural design.
