Assessment of existing components of power-producing facilities is based on probabilistic methods of the theory of reliability provided in the International standards ISO 13822 and ISO 13823. An example of the assessment of quick-closing valves in a selected hydroelectric power plant indicates the assessment of reliability and remaining working life of valves for the considered model of corrosion.
