Dependence of Brickwork Natural Drying Speed on Surroundings Conditions
Original language description
That is certain from construction practice and experiences after repeated floods that a brickwork natural drying is a long-term process and is depended on many factors. Primary factors influencing drying speed are kind and features of brickwork (material) and environmental parameters which is the brickwork situated in. In a laboratory of the Klokner Institute there was a pilot test performed on historical bricks that were controlled moisten and placed to a regulated environment. The article summarizes results of that test and comments a hypothesis of needed time for brickwork drying in real buildings.
