Updating Partial Factors for Assessment of Historic Reinforced Concrete Bridge
Original language description
This paper is aimed on the reliability analysis of an existing reinforced concrete girder bridge from 1908. The load bearing capacity is assessed in accordance with valid standards using updated partial factors and the partial factors for structural design. Estimated load bearing capacities are critically compared. It appears that application of the updated partial factors increases load bearing capacity by about 15 %.
