Signal processor controlled USB2.0 interface for Medipix2 detector
Original language description
We developed the new USB2.0 based read-out signal processor controlled interface for the Medipix family of detectors. This interface uses the advantages of the USB2.0 standard, is controlled by signal processor providing high performance and flexibilityand is able to read-out data as fast as Medipix can generate. All signals go thru the FPGA (Field Programmable Gate Array) giving possibility to implement new functionality easily by reprogramming the FPGA without need to change hardware. This interfaceis compatible with all versions of Medipix chips (Medipix2, Medipix MXR, Timepix) including future chips (Medipix3).
