Experiments Using Pixel Detector in Teaching Nuclear and Particle Physics
Original language description
The text provides teacher’s guidance for 50 demonstrations and laboratory experiments from the field of particle physics using particle camera MX-10. The experiments are usable on all levels of schools, where is nuclear and particle physics being taught (mostly university, college, and high school level, sometimes even junior high school). Every experiment contains a brief theoretical introduction, information about the type and the approximate duration of the experiment, the list of equipment, measurement setup, typical measurement results and, where appropriate, further processing of data (most often in MS Excel). At the end of each experiment is an evaluation of results and physics conclusions, and where appropriate use of the demonstrated phenomenon in the real world.
