Original language description
This paper deals with simplified methods of calculating heat flow from a building through the ground. A simple case of slab on the ground is studied. 3D reference model is stepwise replaced by surrogate 2D and 1D computational models. A surrogate 1D model is described in depth. The model is represented by two unequally long and wide stripes placed along the building perimeter. The results of proposed model were validated against referential results of 3D simulations. Several combinations of floor geometry and its insulation levels were considered.
