Thermal Properties of Concrete Containing Recycled Materials from Construction and Demolition Waste
Original language description
The paper deals with the thermal properties of concrete mixtures made of recycled materials. In total, ten concrete mixtures were made and tested, one of them was a reference mixture with natural aggregate only and other mixtures contained recycled masonry aggregate and recycled expanded polystyrene in various ratios as a partial or full replacement of natural aggregate. In conclusion, the concrete containing recycled masonry or a combination of recycled masonry and expanded polystyrene have had better thermal conductivity and the same heat capacity as conventional concrete. Due to this fact, this concrete could be utilized for wall masonry blocks.
