MULTI-LAYER CONSTRUCTED TECHNOSOL SYSTEMS WITH DIFFERENT CONFIGURATIONS
Original language description
This study explores the performance and development of Multi-Layer Constructed Technosol Systems (MLCTS) with innovative configurations through three interconnected approaches. First, a hybrid green roof system was designed, combining constructed wetlands and green roof to utilize wastewater for irrigation, successfully demonstrating its potential for sustainable water reuse. Second, hydrologic performance of layered systems without vegetation and with vegetation was evaluated quantifying effects of layering on water retention, ET, root growth and applying both new and existing modelling approaches to numerically simulate processes in layered soils. Third, the temporal evolution rainwater infiltration pond was analyzed using X-ray imaging, providing insights into structural changes, compaction, and root development.
