Radon and Other Radionuclides Concentrations in Water from Private Water Sources in the Czech Republic
Original language description
Water quality should be properly tested from the point of view of radionuclide concentrations. According to the Council Directive, No. 2013/51/EUROATOM requirements for the general public health protection with regard to radioactive substances in water intended for human consumption shall be established. Below there are presented results of an extensive study, focused on selected radionuclide concentrations in drinking water from wells for personal use. Water samples from 444 private water wells were analyzed between the years 2010 and 2015. Following characteristics were monitored in the collected samples of water: Gross alpha and gross beta activity 226Ra and 222Rn concentrations Uranium mass concentration
