    Preparation of precise concentrations of chemical substances for testing and calibrations

  • Original language description

    GCM is a device for continual generating of calibration and testing mixtures of volatile and semivolatile organic compounds (including TICs and CWAs). The generator finds its application in chemical laboratories for testing, verification and calibration of analytical methods, instruments and detectors. It can be also used for various R&D areas, e.g. the development of new chemical sensors, materials, adsorbents or catalysts and for different industrial applications. The generator is based on the slow introduction of liquid target component into a flow of dilution-carrier gas using precise microsyringe system drive. The device combines sophisticated control of liquid chemical dosage together with subsequent quantitative liquid evaporation and total homogenization of created mixture in a special heated mixing chamber. The instrument operates with two independent drive branches in order to ensure the continual operation. Since the device is based on the injection method principle, it can be used for generating of mixtures of a large spectrum of chemical compounds in a broad range of concentrations and volumes.
