Original language description
In the framework of solving the Czech Ministry of Interior research project No VH20182021036, SUJCHBO, v.v.i. in cooperation with company Georadis, s.r.o. have modified an off-road monitor RT-58 which was developed for monitoring of large-scale outdoor contamination. The monitor provides real-time information about dose rate, the direction of the radioactive source, and the information about the identified radionuclides. This unique device combines several types of ionizing radiation detectors. Inside of the monitor, there are five NaI(Tl) detectors and one Gaiger-Müller tube for detection of the gamma and beta ionizing radiation. The diaphragm of the GM detector enables to the distinction of the gamma and beta ratio, and it also protects the tube in time out of measurement. The monitor disposes by a display that enables three various visualizations of measured values. On the screen, it is possible to visualize measured values of dose rates for individual detectors, energy spectrums for individual detectors, and it is also possible to display measured values in real maps. A combined detection system is placed on the chassis, which enables the monitor manipulation by only one person.
