    Electron Spectroscopy of poly[methyl(phenyl)silylene] Films

  • Original language description

    Solid films of poly[methyl(phenyl)silylene], PMPSI, were prepared in-situ from a benzene solution. Surface stoichiometry and cleanliness of the films were examined by X-ray induced photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS). Detailed valence band spectra were recorded using both X-rays and ultraviolet (UV) He II radiation. Moreover, the influence of UV radiation of Xe resonant light on surface composition and spectral line shapes of photoelectron spectra were studied.
