Original language description
Evaluation of ecotoxicity of proper asphalt emulsion was conducted for virtue of their environmental application and research of hazardous wastes stabilization/solidification (S/S). Asphalt emulsion test specimens with approximately the same surface areaas test specimens for S/S research were prepared. Leaching parameters were established according to valid legislation of the Czech Republic and US EPA TCLP test. Chemical and ecotoxicological analyses of leachates were performed to assess potential environmental hazards. Ecotoxicity test indicate that the toxicity of asphalt emulsion as well as of asphalt itself is insignificant.
