Moldflow and Mechanical Design Analyses in Multicomponent Injection Molding
Original language description
The paper deals in the first step with filling and cooling analyses of the injection mold cavity. There are injected two components. The first one is polypropylene and the other thermoplastic elastomer. In the second step there are some fill analyses results used as input to the FEM solver. After running the mechanical design analyses the output is given by spectrograms of the cavity insert deflection and stress. The analyses from the first step show exactly the mold cavity loading from injection pressure and temperature. They are also useful for the shrinkage and warpage searching and cooling time as well as injection cycle optimization. The values of the cavity deflection stress can influence the dimension occurrence of the injected part in principalway.
