Structural Analyses fo Tools for Plastics Injecting
Original language description
The mould base parts and cavities are loaded also by forces of the clamping unit clamping of the both mold halves and forces from injection pressure. The attention was focused on deformation of the mould base. Another molds loading is from the temperature. It results from temperature differences between the mold mating components and different thermal expansion or if there are differences in temperature. This article deals with calculation and analyses of the injection mould components loaded from the injection pressure in the cavity insert and injection machine clamping force. The load computation was run using the flow solver MOLDFLOW MPI 3. Stress and deflection of the mold base and cavity was evaluated with help of FEM analysis solver COSMOS DesignSTAR 3. The results obtained from the flow analyses were used as the boundary conditions in solving of the injection mold mechanical design. This way of the boundary conditions computation influences in principle accuracy of the mechanica
