Original language description

The study of rheological behaviour of polypropylene/polyethylene terephthalate blends is presented considering aspects such as rheology-morphology interrelationship, compatibilisation and modification, and the effect of temperature. Improvements in compatibility of essentially immiscible systems are achieved by addition of maleic anhydride in absence of peroxide initiators, and further supported by elastomeric agents. The latter modification aims to improve processability and mechanical properties of PP/PET systems.
