No part of the body needs more protection from pressure and impact than the sole of the feet. Insoles perform functions that make standing, walking, and running more comfortable and efficient. Podiatrists prescribe inserts and orthotics as a conservativeapproach to many foot problems or as a method of control after types of foot surgery. Insoles take various forms and are constructed of various materials. All are concerned with improving foot function and minimizing stress forces that could be ultimately cause foot deformity and pain.

Czech description

Žádná jiná část těla nepotřebuje větší ochranu před tlakem a nárazy než ploska nohy. Stélky splňují funkci, že dělají stání, chůzi a běh více komfortní a účinnější. Podiatři předepisují stélky a ortézy jako konzervativní přístupk mnoha problémům nohou nebo jako metodu kontroly po určitém typu chirurgického zákroku na noze. Stélky jsou v různých formách a jsou konstruovány z různých materiálů. Všechny se týkají zlepšení funkcí nohy a minimalizování zátěžových sil, které mohou způsobovat deformace nohou abolest.
