Fracture properties of polypropylene reinforced with short glass fibres: the influence of notch length and geometry

  • Original language description

Toughness of a series of polymeric materials derived from isotactic polypropylene was examined as a function of structure modifications, temperature and test conditions. An instrumented impact tester, contemporary approach of fracture mechanics were usedfor the experimental measurements and theoretical analysis. Injection moulding grades of isotactic polypropylene TATREN TI 924 and SLOVALEN PH 61 GF 30 were used for preparation of specimens with 0, 10, 20 and 30 % short glass fibres content. Injection-moulded specimens were notched using razor blade, Notchvis apparatus and CNC milling machine with different depths and notch base radiuses. After conditioning they were exposed to impact bending tests with instrumented Charpy pendulum MFL Systeme. For each type of specimen dynamic modulus of elasticity (res. dynamic yield strength) and fracture toughness were evaluated and discussed.

Adsorpce/desorpce Saccharomyces Cerevisiae na plazmou deponovaných organokřemičitých tenkých vrstvách
