    In the present study the influence of treatment conditions (annealing temperature) of calcium pyrophosphate (CPP) on stability of prepared colloidal dispersions was evaluated. The latter inorganic material due to its similarity to the inorganic componentof bone is a perfect material for practical biomedical applications, e.g. as a filler or implant in composites used for bone repair. Second studied factor was influence of increasing ionic strength on colloidal stability. Characterization of particle size and zeta-potential was used to investigate stability of prepared CPP dispersions. CPP annealed under different temperatures, which was obtained from Prayon, Inc., Augusta Georgia, USA was dispersed in distilled water with increasing ionic strength of1:1 electrolyte (KCl). With increasing temperature of thermal annealing the surface chemistry was changed, what was reflected also on zeta potential curves.     Cílem prezentované práce je zhodnotit vliv podmínek zpracování (teplota žíhaní) na stabilitu připravených koloidních disperzí kalcium pyrofosfátu (CPP). Tento anorganický materiál je svou podobností k anorganickému materiálu, který je součástí kostí, perfektním materiálem pro biomedicínské aplikace. Proto je také zkoumán vliv vzrůstající iontové sily některých iontů na stabilitu připravovaných koloidních suspenzí. Charakterizace velikosti částic a zeta-potenciálu je využívána ke studiu stability připravených kalcium pyrofosfátových disperzí.
