Wittig olefination of 3-aminoquinoline-2,4(1H,3H)-diones with ethyl (triphenylphosphoranylidene)acetate afforded (E)-3-amino-4-ethoxycarbonylmethylene-1,2,3,4-tetrahydro-2-quinolones and pyrrolo[2,3-c]quinoline-2,4(3aH,5H)-diones. An alternative approachfor the synthesis of pyrrolo[2,3-c]quinoline-2,4(3aH,5H)-diones via 3-bromoacetamidoquinoline-2,4(1H,3H)-diones, their corresponding triphenylphosphonium salts, and ylides that undergo intramolecular Wittig reaction, was investigated.

Wittigovou olefinací 3-aminochinoline-2,4(1H,3H)-dionů ethyl-(trifenylfosphoranylidene)acetátem byly připraveny (E)-3-amino-4-ethoxykarbonylmethylen-1,2,3,4-tetrahydro-2-chinolony a pyrrolo[2,3-c]chinolin-2,4(3aH,5H)-diony. Byla prozkoumána alternativnímetoda syntézy pyrrolo[2,3-c]chinolin-2,4(3aH,5H)-dionů přes 3-bromacetamidochinolin-2,4(1H,3H)-diony, odpovídající trifenylfosphoniové soli a ylidy, které podléhají intramolekulární Wittigově reakci.
