RHEOLOGY AND PROCESSING OF MEDICAL GRADE POLYMERIC SYSTEMS
Original language description
The presented doctoral work deals with the modification of medical grade polymeric materials and conventional processing technologies aimed at innovation of current medical tubes and catheters, constituting an extensive part of the whole circuit system or individual medical aids. Beside the most extensively used polymer materials for medical tubing polyvinyl chloride and thermoplastic polyurethane also polyolefins were chosen as suitable candidates for the investigations. Chosen material properties weremodified from various aspects respecting final applications of selected products and the requirements imposed on them.
