Rapid Microwave-Assisted Method for Preparation of Nanoparticles
Original language description
Title: Rapid Microwave-Assisted Method for Preparation of Magnetic Nanoparticles for Hyperthermia Treatment Magnetic hyperthermia treatment of cancer gets great attention due to its efficiency and harmlessness. The principle of this method is damaging the tumour cells by the heat generated by application of AC magnetic field on magnetic nanoparticles introduced into the diseased tissue. We offer fast and energy saving microwave-assisted synthesis of magnetic nanoparticles by CEM Mars 5 microwave pressurized reactor. This method also allows us to prepare particles with desired properties such as size, shape and magnetic properties within few minutes in high yields. The X-ray diffraction analysis, scanning electron microscopy and vibrating sample magnetometry show that the as-obtained nanoparticles have uniform and relatively narrow size distribution as well as good magnetic properties.
