    Construction Solution of Laboratory Equipment for Dielectric Heating of Rubber

  • Original language description

    The aim of this work was to design equipment for continual heating by microwave technology. This equipment is intended to be used for experimental heating of rubber and its mixtures. Dielectric heating offers many advantages in comparison with classicalheating. Heating occurs throughout the volume of material, regardless of the coefficient of thermal conductivity. Due to this feature high uniformity of warming is reached, as well as more precise temperature regulation. The equipment was designed with the help of FEM simulations. The simulation results were compared with real measurement.
