Advances in Polymer Characterization by Field-Flow Fractionation Methods
Original language description
Since the original paper published by Giddings in 1966, describing general FFF concept, many particular methods and techniques of FFF were proposed theoretically, some of them were set up experimentally. However, only few of the invented FFF methods arein current laboratory use. The most important among them are briefly characterized. They are denominated by the nature of the applied field: Sedimentation FFF, Thermal FFF, Flow FFF, and Electrical FFF . Their advantages and drawbacks with regard to practical applications in characterization of polymers and particles are presented.
