Simulation of Grinding Process
Original language description
Article deals with behaviour of the grinding wheel within rotation. The shape dependences of the grinding wheels on the physical and mechanical properties are investigated. State of stress simulation was calculated using the FEM solver Cosmos DesignStar. Moreover, results of high-speed grinding are shown in relation to the technological conditions upon the output grinding parameters. Benefits of the application of the FEM simulation for micromachining process are considered. Model of grinding process isimportant to acquire essential information of cutting process and final surface condition of finished workpiece. The further experimental computer simulation solves the influence of abrasive grain wear on the output parameters; a grinding grain was substituted by an approximate sharp and worn grinding grain model.
