Original language description
A new type of composite - PS filter-supported entangled multiwall carbon nanotube network (MWNT/PS) - is introduced as a conductive polymeric material. The filter support increases mechanical integrity of nanotube network and allows its bending without damage of entangled MWNT structure. The electrical resistance of a network portion of composite is sensitive to the tensile stress both in the course of monotonic stress growth and when loading/unloading cycles are imposed. It indicates favorable properties of MWNT/PS composite for use as stress-electric signal transducers.
