Fracture toughness of isotactic polypropylene: The influence of temperature, beta nucleation additives, elastomer reactor modification and material ageing
Original language description
In this paper fracture behaviours of series of polymeric materials derived from isotactic polypropylene were examined as a function of intrinsic structure modification, temperature and material ageing at ambient conditions. Instrumented Charpy pendulum was used for the impact testing of dynamic fracture toughness. Fracture toughness characteristics for all studied materials were evaluated in wide temperature range for allowing demonstrating the toughness transition from brittle to ductile crack propagation mode.
