Triangular tool shank is designed for rotating drills or other tools used for hand drills. Tool shank is the part of the tool, which is clamped in the machine. Triangular shank is composed of three symmetrical faces. This concept is designed for mountingthree-jaw universal chuck or clamping head, where is no need to collet for clamping. The advantage of triangular shank drill is higher torque transmission. Another advantage of the triangular shank is the reduction of the risk of shank slipping. Further, mounting is easier, handling and centering of the tool is quicker.
