Effect of Finishing Operations on Surface Quality and Durability of Products
Original language description
This research paper is focused on grinding of materials used for tools like 100Cr6 or X210Cr12 using grinding wheels from cubic boron nitride and diamond. This paper also describes the influence of technological (working) conditions and type of tools onthe cutting forces, characteristics of surface roughness, material ratio, durability of working surfaces and changes of surface integrity. Etalon material and different type of hardened or unhardened type of metallic materials, which are used as a tool materials using in production of measuring devices and instruments, were used for evaluating of these parameters. The aim of this research is to determine the influence of a grain type of grinding wheels, feed rate or cutting depth on the quality of functional surfaces
